Located on the banks of the Huangpu River, overlooking both the historic Bund and Pudong, the prime motivator in the design was to allow all hotel rooms to offer spectacular river views and to maximize the potential of this perfect site. This was achieved with a double-tower configuration which gives half the rooms views west to the old Bund area and the other half views east. The entrance to the complex lies between the two towers in a grand and dramatic unifying space, connecting multiple levels at the lower floors; this is the signature piece in the all important 'arrival experience' at the hotel.
